Objective: To analyze the risk factors of hemorrhagic cystitis(HC) after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation(Allo-HSCT). Methods: The medical records of 80 patients undergoing Allo-HSCT in Xinjiang Medical University from June.2003 to Sep.2007 were analyzed. The time of follow-up began from the day of initiating conditioning to day 100 post- transplant at least. The 6 parameters were selected for univariate analysis :sex, age, underlying disease, ABO blood type match, donor type, acute graft versus host disease (aGVHD). The possible factors were evaluated by multivariate analysis using a logistic regression. Results: HC occurred in 18 of 80 patients (22.5%) with gradeⅠi n 8/80 cases(10%),gradeⅡin 5/80(6.25%), gradeⅢ-Ⅳin 5/80(6.25%).None of early-onset HC was developed in the corhort. The median time of onset was 28.5 days after HSCT(range+8~+83d),and the median duration of HC was 9.5 days (range 3~62d). The following factors were associated with an increased risk of HC by univariate analysis:age and donor type. In multiple regression analysis only donor type was risk factor. Conclusion: HC post Allo-HSCT is a important complication, mismatched related donors(2/6-3/6 mismatch)have more possibilities to get HC.
